I am stuck!

I am creating a pivot chart based on data that is updated every month.
The simple question that I need answered is how I can group a number of variabes in different groups so that I can just click on a tab on the chart and choose the group I am looking for.
In this case I have a column with a number of countries which I want to group into regions.

Below I have described my specific situation if it helps.

To simplify things imagine I have these 3 variables
1: Names of sales people in whole company
2: Country of sales people
3: Sales numbers per sales person

Now what I am looking for is simple enough I want to create a chart with sales numbers on the y axis and names of sales people on the x axis, and the option of toggling this view to show employees of different regions.

The first step I went through was to put fields into the areas at the bottom of the Field List (I will refer to numbers above):
I put 1 in "axis fields". 2 in "Report Filter". 3 in "Values"

Now I have a chart with every employee from every country and the ability to filter on various countries from the tab at the top of the chart. But if I for example want to chosse Nordic region I need to select both Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Instead I would like to be able to just select "Nordics" and have employees from all these countries shown.

So how can I do that!!??

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Add a region column to your source data and enter the appropriate region for each row of data.
That will give you another field to filter on in the pivot table/chart.
