Pivot Table issues

I have a large set of data that I am making multiple pivot tables from. It is basically hours by date. The first table I built was for a summary that I will keep by month. The second is less permanent, but is taking the same data and summarizing by day. I discovered when I went back to the first table that it had changed and was showing data by day, so I changed it back. Of course, when I went back to the second table it had now changed.

Is there a way to keep the 2 separate table summarizing differently?
