Problem copying date

Hi,

I've got the date picker embedded in a cell giving the correct/current date (in A1) - all good. I want to export the date to another cell but when I do '=A1', it gives me a return of 00/01/1900

How can I get it to give me the date entered?

No, that just returns the current date, not my recorded date. Thanks, though.

If you format A1 as text, what do you see?

in A1 I typed the date
in B1 I put =A1
so I am not sure what your problem is
is A1 a drop down list of dates ?

It just returns a value of 0.

In that case the value is not a date. If you had today's date in A1 9/11/2017 & formatted as text you'd see 43048.
