I want to protect cells that contain an "X" in my range. How do I do this? I am self-taught when it comes to VBA, so whatever you can give me I should be able to understand it. Thanks in advance! :cool:

Hi, Bruvarian17,
WELCEOM to the BOARD!!!!!

try this
Code:
Sub protect_some_cells()
Dim c As Range
Dim firstAddress As String
Dim rng As Range

'EDIT this line to your suits
Set rng = ActiveSheet.UsedRange

    With rng
        Set c = .Find("x", LookIn:=xlValues, LookAt:=xlPart, MatchCase:=False)
        If Not c Is Nothing Then
            firstAddress = c.Address
            Do
            c.Locked = True
            'c.Interior.ColorIndex = 3
            Set c = .FindNext(c)
            Loop While Not c Is Nothing And c.Address <> firstAddress
        End If
    End With
End Sub
Check out the helpfiles for "find" (range) if you want to change something more.

kind regards,
Erik
