Random allocation based on proportion

Hi,

I'm trying creating a stock portfolio selector wherein the end user gets to choose the portfolio that he would like to have which will based on multiple criteria such as industry, size etc.

One of the final steps is to allocate the stock randomly (after the initial filter based on their selection) by the proportion of risk. That is if they choose to have 50 company stocks, they would have the option to choose how they would want to split between say high risk, low risk and medium risk in terms of percentages say 40% medium risk, 25% high and the rest would be low risk.

I have got excel to filter out all the companies that do meet the base criteria (i.e size, industry etc.). Now I can't think of any manner by which I can get excel to produce random lists from these chosen companies by the allocation proportion.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
