Dear All,

In the below pivot table I dont need the monthly sum of GM (Which I have marked with a cross symbol). However I need a total at last ( as shown with a TICK symbol). Is there any option to do this?

Please note that I need the monthly revenue and cost figures as it is. Only the GM (Gross Margin) I dont need monthly.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
You could load the data into power pivot, create a pivot table from that, and then make a column set (using the Pivot Table Analyze tab) that has all the monthly rows for the GM removed.

Hi,

One more query regarding the power pivot. If we add/change the data source ( Eg. adding additional rows for coming months), how can we refresh/update the power pivot for the change in the "data source"?

You'll either need to edit (or recreate) the set, or you will need to edit the MDX of the set to make it dynamic (eg just using .Members in the tuples rather than specific member names).
