I have a chart with two columns, A and B.
In column A, I will input one of three values; "A", "C" or "D".
In column B, there will be numerical values based on other calculations, either negative values or positive values.
I.e. each row will contain one value in column A; "A", "C" or "D" and one numerical value in column B.
Lets say the chart contains 50 rows, Column B:s numerical values is summed up in row 51.
Now, I want to create formulas in a cell
C1 where all numerical values in column B for instances of "A" in Column A are summed up separately
C2 where all instances of "C" are summed up
C3 where all instances of "D" are summed up.
The total sums of C1, C2 and C3 will equal the totalt sum for column B.
Any ideas how I go about? I guess some type of INDEX-formula? All help will be appreciated! Thanks
