I need to return the value of a cell (string of text) of if the job number is the same but on different worksheets.

=IF(VAR1=VAR2,VAR3,"N/A")

VAR1 = named column on sheet 1, contains Number, general format
VAR2 = named column on sheet 2, contains Number, general format
VAR3 = named column on sheet 2, contains long string of text, general format (is 1 column left of VAR2)

The IF example above returns 1 working value only among thousands of rows.

I would appreciate any help.
