I have an Excel spreadsheet which includes a macro that generates and charts a series of random data. The visual effect of the chart updating is quiet powerful and so I would like to incorporate this into a power point presentation

I know how to embed an excel workbook into a powerpoint presentation, however, I can not figure out to get the macro to run without double-clicking the embedded workbook and executing it from within excel.

Is there any way to run an Excel macro in an embedded workbook from powerpoint without actually double-clicking the object and running?

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.

Thank you for the link. However, it doesn't really help me solve my problem.

I need to know how to execute the excel vba macro. The macro is contained in an excel workbook that has been embedded into a power point slide.
