I need to have a cell change color based on whether another cell is of greater value or lesser value.
Greater Green, lesser Red

The first number (1) would be neutral but then the next (2) would be green because its greater than and the next number (1) would be red because it dropped below the number (2) that proceeded it

<style type="text/css"><!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}--></style>

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
bisman, Good evening.

Suppose your data are at A1:A20

Try to use:
Select A2:A20

1st RULE
Conditional Format --> Using formula --> =A2>=A1
--> Format: Fill color as GREEN
OK

2nd RULE
Conditional Format --> Using formula --> =A2 < A1<a1< strong="">
</a1<>
<a1< strong="">--> Format: Fill color as RED
OK

Please, tell us if it worked as you desired.
I hope it helps.</a1<><a1< strong=""></a1<>
