Hi all,

I'm trying to create a formula which is essentially a calculator of sorts, but i'm stuck on how to do it. I want the formula to acknowledge the following conditions;

If [cell value]<38,000, then show "0"
If [cell value] is between 38,000 and 60,000, then "[cell value]-38,000*0.33"
If [Cell Value] >60,000, then "22,000*0.33"

I couldn't work out how to do this with an IF statement. Any help would be much appreciated.

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
How about
=IF(A1<38000,0,IF(A1<60000,A1-38000*.33,19800))
or did you want text returned
=IF(A1<38000,"0",IF(A1<60000,A1&"-38,000*0.33","22,000*0.33"))
