Sorting sample numbers

Hi,
I have a list of sample numbers, each in doubles. I receive them like this:
15243
18764
19370
13749
15243-2
18764-2
19370-2
13749-2
Now with the normal sorting function your corresponding sample are not listed together but rather like this:
13749
15243
18764
19370
13749-2
15243-2
18764-2
19370-2
But I am looking for this:
13749
13749-2
15243
15243-2
18764
18764-2
19370
19370-2

Is there a simple way to do it that I am missing?

Welcome to the Board!

It looks like you have a mixture of numbers and text. If you change them all to Text, they will sort the way you want.
You can do that by doing the following:
1. Select the column
2. Change the format of the column to Text
3. Go to "Text to Columns" from the Data menu
4. Clicking "Next" a few times to get to Step 3
5. Select the "Text" option
6. Click Finish

Then they will sort the way you want.
