I have a worksheet as ff:
column A Column B Column C
materials unit of measure quantity

sorted on column A then SUBTOTALed on column C

but after that -- only Column A & Column C were shown
the column B is blank!

is there a way to show the unit of measure as well?
since the material correspondingly is of the same unit of measure..

many thanks

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
If I am understanding you correctly try this.
- After setting up the Subtotal, show all rows (click the little '3' at the very top-left of the worksheet.
- Select the Unit of Measure column by clicking its heading label.
- Press F5 -> Special... -> Blanks -> OK
- Type an = sign then press the up arrow key then confirm with Ctrl+Enter

Now if you collapse the Subtotal table to level 2, you will still see the Units of measure for each Material in its Subtotal row. (You might want to remove that new formula from the Grand Total row)
