Hi All,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I need to add a "timeline" to a couple of graphs that I'm using frequently in. And I was wondering if there was an easy way to do this in Excel (At the moment I'm using a "paint" line in the graph that I manually have to move every week. This is time consuming and not very accurate.

Basic data would be that you have could be what has and what is due to be shipped for every week in a month. Assume that this week is week 2 in the relevant month (Sample data below).

Week (X axis)
1
2
3
4

Shipments (Y axis)
10
15
5
2

What I need is a line going straight up from the X axis at week 2, to indicate that everything to the left of the line has been shipped already and everything to the right are shipments already taken but yet to be shipped. (math language y = 2). Is there any way this can be created in Excel automatically using a cell as input, i.e changing a cell value from 2 to 3 would move the line one step to the right on the graph?

Would appreciate any help in the matter.

Many thanks

Magnus

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
What type of charts are they?
