Hi,

I am trying to create an Excel spreadsheet using three different sheets.

Sheet one will be a sheet a user can select a device and operating system and it will pull data from sheet 2 or 3 displaying the number of users for that device and operating system etc. Sheet 2 and 3 will contain data about Android and iOS usage stats.

For example.

The user selects options on the first sheet from dropdowns

Device - iPhone X
OS - 11.0

Display the following data from sheet 2 or 3 in sheet 1

Total number of users, Percentage of total user base,

I tried using VLOOKUP but it didn't really work. I read about OFFSET as a potential solution but my Excel skills are quite limited.

Is there anywhere or anyone who would be able to point me in the right direction on this?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
You havent described how the data is laid out on Sheets 2 OR 3 so noone will be able to help you until you do so.
VLOOKUP() returns one (and only one) item of data, it won't count a total number of users nor calculate a percentage, it simply returns an individual value.
If you want the total number of users it will be using something along the lines of SUMIF(), possibly even SUMIF(Sheet2...)+SUMIF(Sheet3...)

Your first step if you want this solved should be to provide examples of the data layout and what results you are expecting to get.
