I am using valadation in a column of cells wsed to input data to prompt the user with lists, choices, and instructions. It works great with one problem. The prompt's default location is directly below the cell and I want it to the right. It can easily be clicked on and dragged to the right, (once it is moved it stays in the same relative place as you move from cell to cell) but how do I go in and set a default so that it will initially appear in the location where I want it?

Thanks ahead of time.

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Re: Valadation Prompt Default Location

As far as I know, the location of the input box is fixed.

quote for above site:-

"Normally, the input message appears just below and to the right of the cell. You can use the pointer to drag the input message to a new location. If you do this, all input messages in that worksheet appear in the same location on the screen until you close and reopen the workbook that contains them"

However, there is an alternative using a "userform"
