Additional Controls Dialog Box refuses to display

I have a problem trying to add additional controls to the Controls toolbox

The two methods I've tried

1. Right click on the controls toolbox , click Additional controls

2. Menu, Tools, Additional controls

Neither of the above produce a dialog box containing the list of additional controls to choose from.

I am running Excel 2007

Any ideas would be appreciated

With your permission I quoted your solution under a YouTube link someone had posted explaining how to create a Calendar Date Picker.
A lot of people were having the same issue trying to bring up the "Additional Controls" window.
Thanks to you I think they have their answer ;)

Thanks Again

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
It totally worked in Win7/64!!! thx a lot!
fyi, I found toolbox modifications are saved in C:\Users\[MyUser]<myuser>\Application Data\Microsoft\Forms
this became "relevant" after I... DELETED the Toolbox "Commands" Tab </myuser>
I renamed it to "_old" and a new one was automatically created by Excel, letting me to breathe again... ;)

i wish all is well in your country, so i have had the same problem, today i can find it,s solution, let's do this.

1-click on start menu( in the left on your desk top )
2-drage a shortcut of Microsoft Excel in your desktop
3-Right click on it and choose Properties then click on compatibility Tab
4-set check on run this program in compatibility mode for
5-Apply then OK

Now open your Microsoft Excel or(Word,......) , You can see everything is OK and additional Control box is working well

hello everyone,

System : Macbook Air
Excel Version : Excel 2011:Mac

I landed up in this thread as I am facing similar issues with VBA.

I tried to right click on Toolbox to get the "Additional Tools" option. However no dialogue box appeared when i right clicked. I also tried right clicking the toolbox tab in the ribbon but it too didn't have any similar option.

Is there any constraint on tools as i am using Mac or its a missing reference or library issue? Further, some properties of objects (Listbox, Combobox etc...) are also missing.

I will be thankful if anyone can help me fix this issue.

Cheers!

Additional Controls are in Windows dlls so they aren't available on a Mac.

Thanks for the revert!

its very frustrating and its difficult to accept. And now i strongly doubt if all the features available for Windows will be supported by mac. I wanted to make some User Forms to reduce my work load and automate the redundant data entries. Now, I think i will have to manage with the default MSForms controls.

I found one fix for the RowSource issue i.e. using List Property. I am writing below the fix for future references

Windows

UserForm.Listbox1.RowSource = Sheet1.Range("partyname").Value

Mac

UserForm.Listbox2.List = Sheet1.Range("partyname").Value

Thanks once again for your prompt response, will keep you bothering...haha!

Hi,

I upgraded from Win 8.1 to Win 10 and faced that problem in Office 2013.

In fact, What was said was useful. However, these steps works well when I run it as administrator.

Thanks for your valuable help.

Best regards,

Hani

I use excel 2010 on win xp sp3 and the suggested workaround does not work: there is no lower compatibility to run excel.

Other suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
