Hi I think this might be a quick question for someone....

I have a line in my code to input the date from a cell into a date picker

IE.document.getElementById("startDatePicker").Value = Selection.Offset(0, 11).Value

The cell is formatted to Short Date. For example 10/01/2018.. but when it is input into the date picker field it looks like this: Mon Oct 01 2018 00:00:00 GMT-0700 (Pacific Daylight Time)

How do I get it to input in a valid short date format?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
You need to format the value first before you pass it to your line

Use:

Dim Dt as string

Dt = Format(CStr(Now), "mm.dd.yyyy") 'Update the (Now) portion to your string or cell
