Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.

is identical in both forums; indeed it is all you posted at stackoverflow. Hence, they're anything but totally different; you're asking for help with the same problem on both forums. Kindly abide by this forum's rules.

No-one should help you here until you notify stackoverflow of the cross-post.

If you want help with something here that is materially different from what you've asked for at stackoverflow, start a thread dealing with that. Thread closed.
