i need help. I have a table. Its only for data entry to log quotes. I can't protect sheet or new rows can't be added to table. Couldn't find a code that worked. I'm at a loss on how to lock or disable or gray out the a to z sort feature. I have locked my header row so If you highlight the entire row it grays out however if you select one cell on header it comes back and u can sort!!!! I'm so annoyed. I have disabled the right click option to prevent insert and delete or right clicking anywhere in workbook.this is fine.i like this. I JUST NEED TO ADD A CODE THAT DISABLES USER FROM SORTING SO I CAN MOVE ON WITH MY LIFE!! Please help.

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
re: VBA ON UNPROTECTED SHEET DISABLE SORT

Have you tried
- select all cells and unlock them
(Right-click \ Format Cells \ Protection)
- now protect the sheet allowing user to do everything except Sort (leave only that box un-checked)
