Hi

I have a sheet that shows the formula in cells by default when I enter a new formula into a cell.

Uisng the 'Show Formulas' option on the Formulas tab does not toggle between the formula and the value.

Also using the shortcut Ctrl` does not work.

If I create a new worksheet or workbook everything works perfectly.

Anybody any ideas?

Thanks

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Have a look at the cell formatting of the problem sheet/cell(s). It/they are possibly formatted as Text? If so try changing to General or Number or whatever is appropriate for you then re-enter the formula(s).

You can use Find/Replace to "re-enter" the formulas. Select the cells, press ctrl+H, enter "=" (without quotes) into the Find and Replace fields, then click Replace All.
