Hey everyone,
I have a list of Promotional Names that have garbage attached to the name.
Examples: Bestbuy Stay 2 Save 20%
Comcast-Stay and Save 50%
Cox Advance Purchase
What I need to do is create a list of companies on one worksheet and then substitute the companies with " " so the company names are cut from the description. Foolishly I had a nested SUBSTITUTE formula however there are over 62 companies that I need to cut off and the nested list is now to long and Excel will not take the formula anymore. Since each company is a different length I cant use LEN to cut anything because not all the companies put spaces between their company name and description. I do not want to use Visual Basic to create a formula so is there a way to use VLOOKUP and SUBSTITUTE in the same function but I cannot get it working.
Ideas?
Thank You!
