Hi,

Is it possible to check whether or not an excel workbook was printed? There is a "last printed date" section on the file menu drop down, however, that field will automatically populate with a date/time once the print menu is pressed (e.g. clicking print and then closing it without printing)

Appreciate the help!

Hi admiral!

Thank you for sharing the thread. This method is great, but technically this will still record the time stamp even if the workbook wasn't printed, i.e. this will log the time stamp when the user hits "control + P" and then cancel (never printed)

Would you happen to know if there is another reliable way to check?

I know in microsoft word this isn't an issue because the time stamp for printing only occurs when the job gets sent to a printer. It isn't the case in excel.

Thanks!
