Weird problem, comment box moves to new location when comment is edited

Hi all, having a weird problem here, tried searching on the board to see if it had come up before but couldn't find any reference to it.

I have a big spreadsheet set up, and users can add comments to certain cells.
When you hover over a cell with a comment, the comment box appears close to the cell itself.
That's all fine.

HOWEVER, when you try to EDIT the comment, the comment box is suddenly in a completely different location, sometimes dozens of rows away, sometimes hundreds of rows away.
It only displaces it by rows, it still seems to appear in the correct column.
I HAVE inserted some rows recently, which might be the cause, but the displacement is not the same as the number of rows inserted - I inserted about 20 rows, so I could understand it if the displacement of the comment box was also 20 rows, but it's not.

The users don't like this, and I agree with them.

I checked the settings for the comment boxes, they all appear to be the same, and specifically
Object Positioning is set to "Don't move or size with cells"

And bear in mind that most of the time the position of the comment box is absolutely fine, it's just when you EDIT it that it goes somewhere else.
And when you finish editing it, it returns to its correct position.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this ?
Thanks in advance . . . .
