XML Import in Excel

Hi all,

When we import an xml file to Excel file, the data is shown in the Excel in a formatted way and with Filter on. Is there any way to avoid that formatting and filter.

The problem with this formatting is, even if I apply a formatting to the formatted column it doesn't get affected until I edit the cell individually.

I have a date column in my xml, when imported it is taken in Excel as a text field. Then if I apply formatting to that column and change it to different date format, it doesn't get affected until I edit each cell individually.

I don't want the data to be formatted and I don't need the filter applied. Is there any way to solve this??? Anything with XMLMap or anyway??

I will be using VBA.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
No sir, If I import it as text it just shows it in a single cell. I need the XML imported as different columns and rows, but doesn't need the filter be applied.

Still looking for a solution.
