Threaded Comments Debut in 2019

The commenting system has been upgraded in Office 365 to allow threaded comments. Each comment has a date, time, and author. You can reply to other comments. This is a better way to discuss parts of a worksheet.

The legacy red comment indicator is replaced by a purple indicator in the top right corner of the cell. Hover over the icon and you can see a threaded conversation. Daisy asks Does This Contain the Correction. Mary answers, Yes I've added the 3%. Daisy replies Thanks. Each part of the conversation has a date and time.

While threaded comments are fine, they are not as flexible as the old comment system. The old comments were originally called notes. After a 20-year hiatus, the Notes name comes back.
