SumIf Formula

Previously posted but without support

I am looking for some help with a SumIf formula. I want to sum up values based on criteria in Column A if it match's a product type in another range. My product types are x2001,x1003, s128, x501, P4.

basically as rough sketch is: =sumIF(Column a = "production", look in range C:G = for C15 (this product type being X2001) the answer here would be 1633 (C8+C21)

The structure of your spreadsheet is a little unusual ... :wink:

However, in which cell are you expecting the result to appear ...???

If each calculation is needed in its respective column ... you could have in cell C16

=SUMPRODUCT(($A$8:$A$10="Production")*(C8:C10))+SUMPRODUCT(($A$21:$A$34="Production")*(C21:C34))
