file size magically goes down after copy and pasting to new sheet

original sheet copied and pasted to a new sheet I just created...i deleted the old, original sheet and magically rhe file size reduce by 2 MB. it's not due to formatting cause the original sheet dint have any formatting (i did a select all, clear formats just in case)....

just trying to know why this might have happened??
 

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Did you copy a sheet with lots of formulas then pastespecial values on the new sheet, then delete the source sheet you copied? If yes, then likely those formulas were bit hungry compared to the values you pasted.

Excel did a fresh save of the new sheet. There's a lot of redundant info that can be cleaned up. 2 Mbyte less. What was the original size?

lol, yes, but why is it doing that? i dont see data outside of AE1756???

i even selected all the rows and columns after row a1756 and cleared all....it still takes me there

Why is difficult to answer as there are a number of possibilities.
To remove them select the rows & right click> delete > save
