my excel workbook says it's locked for editing by "userxx" but that user doesn't have it open.

is there a way to force the workbook to close

using Windows 10
Microsoft office 365

ok thanks SpillerBD I will give it a try tomorrow AM as the file it resides on is a Qnap and many users use it during the day.
