Conditional Formatting

I have a worksheet that contains last names in cells A1:D10 (all unique).

I have named a range (Qs) in the same workbook and that range contains 3 names in cells a1:a3 -

Jones
Smith
Riley

Is there a conditional formatting formula that will format any of the cells in A1:D10 where the last name is contained in the range Qs (Jones or Smith or Riley)?

Thanks for your help.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
So the names to find are in A1:A3 and the range containing them is A1:D10 ? The first is thus part of the second? Are they on the same sheet?

Sorry I did not make that clear. The names to find are on a separate worksheet in the same workbook.

How about
=ISNUMBER(MATCH($A1,Qs,0))
