Is there a way to assign a date to when a sheet updates information from another sheet?

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
  1. Decide on a cell on the sheet being updated that will hold the date upon which the update should occur.
  2. Assign that cell to a Defined Name (say "Update_Date")
  3. Enter your required update date.
  4. Switch Excel's Calculation mode to MANUAL, then add some VBA to the sheet object of the sheet being updated that recalculates (and therefore updates) that sheet ONLY if the current system date ("DATE) = the specified date entered in "Update_Date"
