pdf: copying text to MS Word

I copied a piece of text from a pdf file and pasted it to MS Word.

Take a look at the following picture.

All characters are changed. I have to do a number of replace commands.

Why does this happen? Have this ever occured to you?

I have not seen that. Maybe it is a Windows or MSWord regional setting for language translation?

You might have more luck saving the pdf to MSWord. If you have Acrobat, not Reader, you can do it manually in it or via a macro. Then do the copy paste.
