Chart Area Default Color
Posted by William Lund on February 07, 2002 12:28 PM
Every time I create a chart the plot area is dark gray. Is there some way to have the default property of a chart to have the plot area background be white or some other color? I have to change it every time. Some days I create quite a few. I guess I could create a custom chart with the properties, but Excel must have a way to do this for the built in charts.
Other people I work with also run into this problem.

Create the chart you want to use as a default.
Right click the chart and select Chart Type.
Select the Custom Types tab.
Click Set As Default Chart (bottom of window).
