Charting in Excel
Posted by Ron Sheppard on September 06, 2001 4:19 PM
I wish to chart the following data:
Time - 0, 2, 4, 6
Temperature - 24, 25, 27, 32
My X axis (category axis) - time - will not start at 0 and incriment by two's. It starts at 1 and plots the first value of the y axis (24) at 1 minute!!
Can anyone help?
Ron

See what you mean. It's not as clean, but you could go into "chart options", dis "Category (X) axis" click on "Time-scale" ; go to "Data Labels" click on "Show value"

better yet, left click on the x axis, right click to bring up the "Format Axis" then dis the "Value (y) axis crosses between categories; open "Chart Options" - "Axes" dis "Category (x) axis; then open "Data Labels" and click "Show value"

Ron,
Sent you a quick sample file. Don't know if it's what you're after, but I think that, so long as you have the time data entered in your field in the format that you want, it'll chart that way...
Hopefully the file will help...
