How can I compare numbers??

I have a spread sheet with some numbers in column A, B , C and I want the lowest number of the 3 to appear in cloumn D. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

=MIN(A1:C1)

Hey thanks! Can I also change the color of the result in the d column and the column it came from?

Do you mean, if C1 is the Min, change C1 and D1 ?
If so, select A1:D1. Go to format conditional formatting.
Select "Formula Is" and use this formula:
=A1=$D1
Click the format putton and select the patterns tab, then select the color you want.
Click Ok, and Ok again.
