Checking Register from HeLL

was wondering if you could help?? Im using the formua=SUM(H2,F3-G3) to make a running CHECKING balance register, that i can subtract or add to by the columns on the left. The problem im having is that anything put in pretty much runs to the length of my register, which is 500 lines. in other words, if the total is 400.oo, 400.oo is in every square below the calculation to the end of the register, which has literally 500 entry lines.. I dont want this, i would like it to calculate, and enter only one total, and stop there. I suppose i could keep said cells blank, and copy and paste the formula every time i want to make a new entry, but i dont want to do that.This is the new millenia, i shouldnt be messing around with menial crap once the sheet is done. Is there a way to limit the # of times it answers the same problem? Help???
