I am having a problem with copying a formula from one cell to another. When I copy the formula, the value of the cell also changes with each cell while copying. I need to put a cell reference and keep it constant while copying.

How can I do that? Please help?

Put dollar signs to make the cell reference static. For instance, instead of just writing A1, write $A$1. More info can be gotten at Mr Excel's homepage.
