Vlook up functions

Please help me with an explaination how can I get the formula for Vlookup working in the sheets :

VLookup = Sheet2 payment
if else
.if the same $amount move cell contents to Sheet3 Paid correctly
.if the same $amount move cell contents to Sheet4 Not paid

Sorry Glen you have this one all wrong, a formula will not do as you ask, im lost as to why you want to but answers on diff sheets. Vlookup is a simple Excel function, thats designed to give simple look up answers not sing and dance. You need a full VBA scrpit thats going to do a minimun of 9 instructions, bases on searchlines and lookups, i have not the skills or time to solve this, but i hope a good kind VBA programmer will read my responce and post some code up, i for one would love to see such a script.

sadly i cant see a way to say ABC and there you go: Thing of it this way formula are one way trips, the convert, alter or transpose(copy) data that dont combine these in one go..
