Grouping data

I want to group my data by different variables. I want my output data to be in frequency format. Which functions do I use to generate this type of information. (In SPSS, if you are familiar, this function is called "cross tabs")
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Try using a Pivot table (Data, Pivot Table Report). You can crosstab tables in several ways.
See my answer on another question a few lines below for a little more info on the use of
the pivot table.
