Formulas within Pivot Table

Is there any way to make a column of calculations within the data range of a Pivot Table. I can make calculation "outside" the pivot table using the data within but this has to be changed each time I refresh the data. I would like to have a couple columns of formulas that always work with the data, maybe the approach is to creat a field name? Does this work in Pivot Table?
