A real challenge- displaying rows that meet a conditonal format in them in another sheet.

Posted by Daniel on January 27, 2001 6:51 AM

I am writing to the Excel geniuses out there with a bit of a challenge for you. Im not bad with Excel
but my latest problem is something isimply cant solve. My system is
for Marks and Grades. There is a list of students who each have a predicted
grade which is based on a lookup table showing a predicted level (a number
like 5.5). The conditonal format I have is one that displays the grade a
student gets from an actual test in Green if the test mark that it is
based on is greater by 1 than the predicted Grade (which is based on the
Predicted mark). This bit all works but i Really need a summary sheet that
displays all the rows of students who achieve grades significantly better
than what they are predicted or specifically worse. The conditional format
of the Test is
=Test Mark>=Predicted Mark+1 (lights in green)
=Test Mark>=Predicted Mark -1.
As i said before i just want some kind of summary list somewhere else in
the workbook that is easy to implement- that shows Students who achive
certain grades.
Thanx to the ppl who solve this in advance.

Please organize in a list and use a pivot table, see help.
