I agree VBA i will end up with, but im more Excel quieks and errors and Virus man, not like you and some other guru of data, but im learning with such people patients.

I would like VBA on button and UDF with tange select, but i find it hard, any ideas i would love to know, Aladin has given me food for thought and supplid me with a cool formula, i must have done untold by dragging, but each download needs cleaning, and thats everyday, so any clues or ideas, i would love to hear..

If so then it would probably be easier if you
sent me a sample of the data type/structure and
just how the data comes into to you.....I can
then have a good look.

Hi guys - sorry to but in, but couldn't you parse the column with a '(' delimiter? I.e., Click 'Data-->Text to Columns...' check the 'Delimited' option, and put '(' in the 'Other' box? Then you could just delete the second column...sorry to be nosey...

Thats OK.....good suggestion...thats why
I need to know hs data structure and range
etc....if Jack is doing this daily on a large
amount of data then this is good job to automate.
