Macro problem for VB for Extra! emulator for IBM mainframe

I am running  Extra v 4.3 with Windows NT. I use Extra emulator to connect to Donovan Data Systems IBM mainframe where I enter time sheets. The time sheets entry screen has unprotected fields (5 rows per screen) for Client code (CCC), product code (PPP), job code (JJJJJJ). Many times the client, prod. or job code is the same for more rows. It will save me a lot of time if Extra would have a "duplicate above field" key, to copy the field above with 1 key. That's why I tried to create a macro in Visual Basic for Extra to do the job, but I did not succeed. From the kind of limited help (VB for Extra) that Extra offers on line, I concluded that the "Getstringfromfield" function will do the job but whatever and however I tried to use, it did not work. Please can anybody help me to create a macro that will paste in the field where the cursor is at that moment, the field above? Of course both fields have the same length and are unprotected. You can use fictitious cursor position (row, column).
Or maybe someone can recommend me some forums for VB for Extra. Thank you very much. Mark P.
