Subtotal Macro please!

I know how Subtotal works in excel, I have knowledge of using macros. The problem is that I need Subtotal to work to the right side of the column instead of underneath the numbers I am summing. Any macro or custom function would be great.

How about using "sumif" statements in the column on the side... nested in an if statement to see if it's the last entry of that item (ie. if b2=b3, don't sumif, if they don't equal, do the sumif here)
