Auto find and replace

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to have Excel auto find and replace text that has been pasted into a spreadsheet.

For example I'd like to paste:

John Smith
C.J. Davis
Dave Porter

But have Excel automatically change it to:
Johnathan Smith
CJ Davis
Dave Porter Jr.

I've tried adding new auto-correct settings but that doesn't work when pasting in data (you must type it for the auto-correct to happen). I have to copy and paste a large list of names daily and about 20 of them need to altered, so I'm hoping to find a way to speed the process up.

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
you could just record a find and replace and loop through a set of values maybe stored on a separate sheet

I could write you a script to do this. But not knowing where the values are you want to change and where the correct values are it's not possible for me to write you a script. Maybe you can provide specific details.

Like you would need to say:

Search Column "A"

If you find value in Range("B1") replace with value in "C1"

Etc.
