Auto Generated Value From Drop Down List

Hi guys,

I've a tricky question here, hoping to get some help.

For example; My column A is a drop down list and what I need is when i select an item from the drop list in column A the value in column B will be auto generated. Something like a online registration form.

Is this possible?? or is there another other solutions?
