Hi!
New to sites and excel. I am currently using Microsoft excel 2013 if that will make any difference.

Here is the issue I can't seem to figure out or find a good answer to anywhere...

I have a list of dates such as
Date Installed: Average Lifespan
2/16/2017 ?? Years ?? Months ??Days
1/12/2017
6/28/2016
4/23/2015
1/19/2015

I would like a formula that will first find the number of days between each date, then calculate the average of the differences, and finally convert that number to be displayed in year, month, day format.

I am trying to track part lifespan on industrial machines. The date column will grow over time, but should remain in decending order.

Lastly is it possible to then display the year, month, day number on a separate excel sheet?
What I mean is I'd like to have a master sheet that displays every machines averages only and have each machine have more detailed information such as the dates changed.

A lot to ask but I thank you for your help!!!

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
