I have a pivot table and would like to create a calculated item. The columns has two field in it. The first is Year, the second is Type (Salaries, Benefits).

I want to create a calculated item that takes each benefit amount and divides it by the total salaries. Is this possible? I know you can show as a % of it's own column but not another?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
I have a worksheet with two pivot tables (based on the same data source). In the first pivot table I have created a calculated item and this field works great. However, I want to insert the same calculated item in the second pivot table, but can't seem to figure out how to do that. I have tried recreating the field but then it shows up 2x in both pivot tables. Any assistance would be appreciated.
