Cell Formatting Shortcut?

I am constantly selecting column(s) and formatting cells to the same thing:

number
no decimal place
check thousand seperator

Is there some kind of shortcut that I could be using?

Create a Custom style (See help files) and apply it
You can even write a macro to do apply it

Sub ApplyStyle()
Selection.Style = "myStyle"
End Sub
