After seeing how Bill changed the ENTER key direction from down to right I started to wonder, is there a similar option that will let you change the douple click fill direction from going down, to going to the right? I use the TEXT-COLUMNS feature alot and have to do alot of work of transposing and such to get the data arranged to where I can work on it quickly. If there was an option to change the auto fill that would save a lot of hassel.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
I am not aware of the fill direction being an option that can be set. HOWEVER by using the fill handle (see Excel help 'Fill Data into Adjacent Cells') you can readily fill to the right (or left), and of course up or down.

Hope this helped,
Rolf

Thats what I was afraid of... well it was worth a shot. I've also tried using the CTRL+Shift+DownArrow,RightArrow then SHIFT+UpArrow. This selects the range that I need quickly and accuratly, most of the time.

Any way thanks for your help,
